Well it looks like the search continues. The car I was looking at is a total wreck, so at least I now know what car I want.
While I search for the car I can do some more research on motors and controllers and batteries.
Welcome to my blog. Here you will find articles, thoughts, rants, tips and tricks and updates about me and the stuff I like.

The wait continues
The wait continues. Hopefully I find out tonight about the status of the MGB-GT.
If I can get my hands on it, things will be looking smooth.
More updates to come.

Slow ride, take it easy
In the big hunt for the right car for the electric project I decided to get a hold of one of my dads old friends, Brent. He restores MGA's so I figured there was no better person to know of "a guy" who has a car in the range I am looking for, probably sitting under a tarp or in a garage or a barn somewhere.
Turns out I was right. I received an e-mail tonight saying he knows a guy who has an MGB-GT project and that he would want to part with it.
I had looked at a GT as an option but thought it'd be a great car but probably out of my price range. It would have lots of room for batteries, both front and back and a good opportunity to have a balanced car weight wise which means that it'll handle perfectly.
This is starting to look promising.
Here are a few quick borrowed images of a GT so you can get an idea of what I'm looking at. (if you are the owner of this car, it is gorgeous and I hope you don't mind me using it as an excellent example)
Least to say if I can get my hands on a car like this I'd be a very, very happy person.
