The search for more information & sponsorship

So I've been looking at a few things for the electric car project.
Mainly I need to make the decision on motor, controller and charging system. The car itself turns out to be an after decision. I'll need to have all the bits that make it work sorted out first. I can also test and debug these systems on the workbench without actually having a car present.
I've got my options narrowed down on the drive train end of things and I am going to go with finding a scrap electric forklift or the parts from one. There have been a few people who have used them to convert a car to electric.
Check out the forkenswift project for a good example of how it's done. http://forkenswift.com/

I've decided to go with this option as I can part out a junk forklift for the useful bits to build a working functioning car capable of in city driving speeds and later on in time as I decide to upgrade I can add in a more advanced motor controller and charging system.
Once I have these parts in hand I can build a complete working system that can then be dropped into a car. This option will give me the ability get a large portion of the kinks worked out without tying up the driveway for too long with a project car just sitting around. This should keep Jackie and the neighbours happy.

I've also been in contact with some forklift suppliers and dealers/service companies for a forklift or parts and auto wreckers to see if I can get a car in decent shape without an engine for this project. Now it's just time to wait and see what comes in.

I'll also be hunting for some sponsorship for the project. So if anyone knows of a business that would be interested in sponsoring it in either funds or services or hardware I'd love to hear from them. I'll be putting a vinyl decal of all sponsors on the car.
